Eventbrite Fee Calculator
Eventbrite charges US organizers 3.7% + $1.79 per paid ticket plus 2.9% payment processing per order. Enter your ticket price to see the fees, what buyers pay and what you keep, then compare the same ticket on 14 other platforms. Rates for the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand are included, and the page address updates so you can share your estimate.
One credit pays TixFox’s fee on one paid ticket, at any ticket price. Packs are bought upfront and never expire; Stripe processing is still charged per order.
Estimates exclude tax, international cards, refunds and custom contracts. Orders contain the selected number of tickets, with a smaller final order if needed. Buyer-paid fees use an estimated gross-up; verify the provider’s checkout before setting a final price.

The same $50.00 ticket on 15 platforms
Published US pricing checked October 24, 2026, for 100 tickets sold one per order with fees absorbed. Where a platform leaves card processing to you, Stripe’s standard 2.9% + $0.30 is included. The two prepaid rows assume you’ve already bought credits: TixFox’s $0.29 needs its 5,000-credit pack ($1,450.00), and Ticket Tailor’s prepaid price falls toward $0.30 on its larger packs. Paid plans, nonprofit discounts and negotiated rates can lower other platforms’ numbers too.

Fees are not the only cost: check payout timing, marketplace reach and the features your event needs. Our lowest-fee platforms guide explains each model.
How the estimate works
Free tickets have no ticketing or processing fee in this model. For paid tickets, service fees apply to each ticket. Card processing applies to each order. Absorbed fees come out of the face-value total; passed fees increase the amount collected from the buyer, which also increases processing. Fees are rounded to cents for each order.
A lower fee does not replace event discovery, reserved seating, or the features your event needs. Read the Eventbrite pricing guide or compare other low-fee ticketing platforms.
Eventbrite fees at common ticket prices
US online sales, one ticket per order, no tax. The fixed $1.79 part of the fee is why cheap tickets cost proportionally more to sell: fees take 24.5% of a $10.00 ticket but 8.4% of a $100.00 ticket.
| Ticket price | Fees if you absorb them | You keep | Share of price | Buyer pays if fees are passed on |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10.00 | $2.45 | $7.55 | 24.5% | $12.52 |
| $15.00 | $2.79 | $12.21 | 18.6% | $17.87 |
| $25.00 | $3.45 | $21.55 | 13.8% | $28.55 |
| $50.00 | $5.09 | $44.91 | 10.2% | $55.24 |
| $75.00 | $6.75 | $68.25 | 9.0% | $81.95 |
| $100.00 | $8.39 | $91.61 | 8.4% | $108.64 |
| $150.00 | $11.69 | $138.31 | 7.8% | $162.04 |
What to charge to keep a target amount
If you absorb fees, set the face value high enough that the amount left after fees covers your cost per guest. These are the lowest one-ticket prices that leave each target after fees.
| You want to keep | Charge on Eventbrite | Charge on TixFox + Stripe |
|---|---|---|
| $20.00 | $23.33 | $21.31 |
| $50.00 | $55.45 | $52.20 |
| $100.00 | $108.98 | $103.70 |
The alternative is to pass fees on: the face value is then what you keep, and buyers see the fees added at checkout. Either way, compare the price buyers actually see with similar events before you publish.
What this calculator leaves out
- Sales tax. Eventbrite calculates processing on the order total, which can include tax.
- Optional products. Eventbrite’s Premium plan ($69 a month in the US) and Eventbrite Ads spend are billed separately from ticketing fees.
- Door sales, refunds and payouts. These follow their own rules. See the Eventbrite pricing guide for at-the-door fees, fee refunds and payout timing.
- Other payout countries. The calculator covers the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand; Eventbrite charges different rates elsewhere. The country table lists the six, and our UK fees guide covers VAT, payouts and refunds for UK organisers.
- Custom plans. Eventbrite quotes custom plans for complex or high-volume events through its sales team.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Eventbrite charge in the US?
The published online rate is 3.7% + $1.79 per paid ticket, plus 2.9% payment processing per order. There is no extra $0.30 in that published Eventbrite rate. Free tickets have no ticketing fee. Custom agreements and taxes can change the result.
What percentage does Eventbrite take from ticket sales?
It depends on the ticket price, because $1.79 of each fee is fixed. With fees absorbed and one ticket per order, US fees come to about 24.5% of a $10 ticket, 13.8% of a $25 ticket, 10.2% of a $50 ticket and 8.4% of a $100 ticket.
How do I avoid paying Eventbrite fees as the organizer?
Choose to pass fees on to buyers. You then keep the ticket's face value, and the buyer pays more: about $55.24 for a $50 ticket. The fees still exist; they move to the buyer's checkout total.
Does Eventbrite charge for free events?
No ticketing fee applies to free tickets, and Eventbrite says free events can be published at no cost. Optional products are separate: Eventbrite's Premium plan costs $69 a month in the US, and Eventbrite Ads spend is billed on its own.
Why does the fee payer change the estimate?
When the organizer absorbs fees, the buyer pays the ticket's face value. When fees are added at checkout, processing also applies to the additional amount collected. This calculator estimates that pass-through with gross-up math; confirm actual checkout totals with the provider.
Do multiple tickets share a processing charge?
The percentage applies to the order amount. Stripe's fixed $0.30 charge applies once per successful domestic-card transaction, not once per ticket. This estimate groups tickets into full orders and a final smaller order when needed.
Does the calculator work outside the US?
Yes, for Eventbrite. Choose the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland or New Zealand to apply Eventbrite's published rate for that payout country. In the UK, Ireland and Australia there is no separate processing fee, and UK organizers pay 20% VAT on the service fee unless they add a verified VAT ID.
Does this include taxes and international cards?
No. These are US domestic-card estimates in USD, excluding tax, currency conversion, refunds, discounts and custom rates. Eventbrite processing can apply to tax as well as service fees. Check your own event checkout before setting a final price.
