Estimates exclude tax, international cards, refunds and custom contracts. Orders contain the selected number of tickets, with a smaller final order if needed. Buyer-paid fees use an estimated gross-up; verify the provider’s checkout before setting a final price.

How the estimate works

Free tickets have no ticketing or processing fee in this model. For paid tickets, service fees apply to each ticket. Card processing applies to each order. Absorbed fees come out of the face-value total; passed fees increase the amount collected from the buyer, which also increases processing. Fees are rounded to cents for each order.

A lower fee does not replace event discovery, reserved seating, or the features your event needs. Read the Eventbrite pricing guide or compare other low-fee ticketing platforms.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Eventbrite charge in the US?

The published online rate is 3.7% + $1.79 per paid ticket, plus 2.9% payment processing per order. There is no extra $0.30 in that published Eventbrite rate. Free tickets have no ticketing fee. Custom agreements and taxes can change the result.

Why does the fee payer change the estimate?

When the organizer absorbs fees, the buyer pays the ticket's face value. When fees are added at checkout, processing also applies to the additional amount collected. This calculator estimates that pass-through with gross-up math; confirm actual checkout totals with the provider.

Do multiple tickets share a processing charge?

The percentage applies to the order amount. Stripe's fixed $0.30 charge applies once per successful domestic-card transaction, not once per ticket. This estimate groups tickets into full orders and a final smaller order when needed.

Does this include taxes and international cards?

No. These are US domestic-card estimates in USD, excluding tax, currency conversion, refunds, discounts and custom rates. Eventbrite processing can apply to tax as well as service fees. Check your own event checkout before setting a final price.
